This page explains how New Plymouth Operatic Society (“NPOS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you join the list for our production of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at yourgoldenticket.co.nz. We handle your information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

  • Information you give us when you sign up: your first name, last name and email address, and whether you opt in to other NPOS emails.
  • Information collected automatically as you use the site, such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location, gathered through analytics cookies (see “Cookies and analytics” below).

How we use your information

  • To contact you about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, including previews and how and when to buy tickets.
  • If you opt in, to send you other news and offers from New Plymouth Operatic Society.
  • To run, secure and improve the website.

We only email you about this production unless you opt in to more, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used so we can improve it, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising and reach people who may be interested in the show. These tools set cookies and collect usage data as described above. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the sign-up form will still work.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run this site and contact you, who may store data outside New Zealand:

  • Vercel and Neon — website hosting and secure database.
  • Resend — sending your confirmation and update emails.
  • Google Analytics — website analytics.
  • Meta (Facebook) — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel.
  • Mailchimp — managing our email list and mailouts.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while this production is active and you remain on the list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from our active records.

Your rights

You have the right to ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and to unsubscribe from our emails at any time. To do any of these, unsubscribe from any email or contact us at marketing@npos.co.nz.
